Here's the cabin from the inside...The best functional qualities are the 360 deg. visability, overhead handholds cut into the ceiling stringers, adjustable swiveling seats, quick access to storage, gimbaled Force 10 stove for expresso and the heating, defrosting & ventilation arrangement. Also the big sliding hatch & open door allows for a safe FAST grab of a fishing pole when a salmon strikes...
The dash gets a bit crowded with the radar, fish finder & chart plotter but then again it's right where you want it in dense fog...I mounted a second compass right at eye level for fog navigation...there's a minimal "desk" arrangement on the dash for writing, cell phone & notes
I kept the cabin as low as possible in the hull- still, there's 6'6" headroom in the cabin and 6'2" in the way of the stringers ...I usually wack my head ducking into the cuddy on the first trip of the season.
I spent a lot of thought and effort soundproofing the diesel - with the result it's quieter sitting on the engine box than inside the cabin...there's a resonance that sets up due to the boat being so structurally integrated, the best analogy being we're sitting inside a really big guitar body...the cabin sound level is 83 decibels which is near the OSHA limit for 8 hours exposure without ear protection. I could bring the decibels down by covering all that beautiful wood with sound absorbing material - fat chance...
